Role Purpose
To source, qualify and influence talent for all levels of critical/hard-to-fill positions, develop clearly defined recruitment strategies, and sets expectations in partnership with the recruitment team. To creatively and proactively mine social media, networking sites, user groups, passive candidates and the business candidate database to identify, screen and create talent communities and candidate pipelines for current and future positions. Additionally, this position will ensure that business is represented in the most accurate and appropriate manner to all candidates.
- Ensure candidates are appropriately matched to roles in order to prevent inefficiencies and financial losses due to increased turnover, supervision and/or training.
- Find the right candidates, at the right time and at the right cost. Identify, manage and drive utilisation of sourcing channels/tools that meet the business requirements and achieve efficiencies across.
- Contribute to the successful implementation of change initiatives by providing support related to own area of specialisation.
- Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate.
- Adhere to standards and procedures to reduce costs and report associated risks.
- Assist and support the seamless integration and implementation of effective HR processes, programmes and practices into daily operations.
- Conduct recruitment and selection process in accordance with the relevant guidelines and legislation to maintain the quality and integrity of the process.
- Source and attract the highest calibre of candidates within agreed timelines.
- Drive utilisation of various sourcing channel methods through a central function.
- Analyse data and provide monthly reports that reflect insight into tendencies and patterns by applying relevant research methodologies, tools and techniques to effectively and purposefully gather outstanding information.
- Participate in specialist communities of practice and contribute positively to own and organisational knowledge improvement.
- Ensure that all documentation is handled, maintained, stored, and discarded in terms of legislative and audit requirements.
- Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements.
- Perform talent mapping and talent pipelines as a proactive means of adding competitive advantage and mitigating business risk.
- Ensure a proactive service to stakeholders by sourcing relevant talent to fulfil immediate requirements.
- Manage end-to-end process of sourcing and delivering top talent as per agreed benchmarks.
- Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including internal customers, HR, end-users, SMEs, and third-party vendors.
- Ensure that specific needs of stakeholders are addressed effectively and timeously, within area of specialisation.
- Consistently represent the brand in all customer interactions.
- Identify, control and escalate potential risks which may lead to increased costs.
You’ll be an ideal candidate if you have the following experience and qualifications:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Degree/Diploma in Social Science, Psychology or Human Resource Management or equivalent)
- At least 5 years of sourcing and/or recruitment experience preferably in a Financial Services environment
- Hands-on experience managing end-to-end hiring from sourcing to onboarding.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruitment platforms preferably Workday.
- Exposure to both high-volume recruitment and hard-to-fill roles.
- Proven ability to partner with hiring managers and leadership.
- Ability to secure top talent while managing budget constraints
