The role
The Technical Analyst (TA) is the custodian of the simulator specification, owning the definition of features and functionality across the full product lifecycle. You will work closely with clients to collect reference data and capture training needs, then collaborate with internal teams to turn this into a clear, detailed specification. This includes defining hardware controls, system logic, operator faults, student evaluations and reporting frameworks. Finally, you will ensure the delivered product matches your specification through structured testing and validation.
Key responsibilities

- Draft and maintain the simulator specification documents across the revision stages required by ThoroughTec’s internal standards.
- Work with the Electro-Mechanical Design department to define hardware instruments, controls, and physical simulator components.
- Specify and document the complete functional behavior of all systems, subsystems and 2D console screens.
- Design fault conditions and define resulting simulator responses (lamps, warnings, pop-ups, ).
- Develop student evaluations and reporting frameworks for instructors to measure trainee performance.
- Collaborate with the Art team to ensure SOP-compliant vehicle and virtual world designs.
- Support demonstrations and reviews with stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle, updating the specification documents through this process, as required.
- Working with quality control teams, conduct product testing to ensure that the final product meets specification and client expectations.
Minimum qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related analytical/technical discipline.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written communication skills with experience drafting technical documentation.
- Willingness to travel to and work at client sites around the world.
