Job Purpose
Review business requirements, end-user interfaces, and reported issues from internal and external customers to write and edit user assistance. Enhance content with metadata for search engine optimization. Validate content by conducting user research.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Review and understand supporting materials.
- Write and edit user assistance in accordance with ACI style standards.
- Serve as team’s project manager and POC for assigned products to manage all project deliverables.
- Validate content through user research projects.
- Deliver customer-facing content as embedded help, topic-based files, presentations, and training.
- Enhance content with metadata for search engine optimization.
- Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
- Understand and comply with Risk Management program requirements including identification of risks, key controls, and control testing as applicable to responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Journalism, Linguistics, or related field, or equivalent experiencePreferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)
- Understanding of cloud computing types (public, private, hybrid, and multi) and services (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) and potential effect on documentation requirements.
- Understanding of cloud computing dependent technologies including operating systems, databases, and APIs.
- 1-3 years’ experience:
- Translating complex technical information into simple, clear content for end-users
- Working in a topic-based content management system
- 2+ courses towards user experience certification, or equivalent experience
- Understanding of task analysis, persona development, usability testing, and other user experience design methodologies Understanding of information architecture and SEO
