PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To ensure that relevant skills training is facilitated according to the organisational requirements in order to meet the training objectives as required by legislation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12/Std 10 (NQF Level 4) Certificate is essential
- Onsetter/Banksman Certificate for Shaft Barrel is essential OR
- Serviceman Certificate: Mechanical/Mechanician/Boilermaker/Electrical/Technician/Rigger is essential
- 2 Years working experience in the engineering environment as a serviceman for engineering related occupations OR 2 years working experience in the shaft barrel as a Banksman/Onsetter for shaft occupations is essential
- Registered assessor is essential
- Valid Red ticket or medically fit in order to obtain one is essential

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Ensure that training of new recruits, refreshers and re-classing is effectively conducted.
- Conduct assessments (written and practical) and moderations in an appropriate manner and make sure that they are recorded on the system.
- Ensure that all the records are submitted to the relevant SAP system administrator
- Ensure that general office administration is maintained according to the required standards.
- Ensure that the ISO 9001 standards are maintained as part of retaining accreditation.
- Prepare the relevant training course material according to the required unit standards.
- Ensure that reports are timeously generated and submitted.
- Conduct safety audits and to ensure adherence to and application of safety.
