Job summary:
As a Warehouse Supervisor, some of your duties will entail the following: overseeing the daily operations of the Warehouse Department, receiving and dispatching, supervising Employees (Daily Attendance and Discipline), and Managing Inventory.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the dispatching procedures for Takealot shipments (JHB & CPT): check the picklists, ensure they correspond to the products picked (no extra stock, do not short count, and or load incorrect products), sign the picklists and the PO number slips, take pictures, and send to the designated WeChat group.
2. If there is no stock or you cannot find the stock, verify with the warehouse manager, or look for the stock yourself. Do not rely 100% on the warehouse staff/ general workers.
3. Once you have given the general workers the picklist, it is important that you use that time to familiarize yourself with the warehouse and broaden your knowledge when it comes to stock (where it is packed), online orders, returns, and repairs, all warehouse duties as expected from a warehouse supervisor.
4. Need to understand online order collection, returns, and repair departments' procedures.
5. Prepare the warehouse staff and transport for overtime.
- Plan and assign workloads and daily tasks to the Takealot Warehouse Team.
- Quality Control: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, code of conduct, and warehouse safety standards and regulations.
8. Patrol the warehouse.
9. Warehouse housekeeping.
10. You will be expected to double-check all the Takealot orders and not just the ones you have counted. Together with the drivers, this is to ensure that the correct products are pulled. Example: correct quantity, correct colours, good-quality boxes, and ensure that the barcodes match the product codes.
11. Ensuring Takealot labels and barcodes are placed on the correct products. After 1.5 months of your probation, in this case, as of 1 September 2025, none of the general workers will assist you with placing barcodes on the boxes. This will be your sole responsibility and will also help management to measure your performance in KPI’s during your probation.
12. As the warehouse supervisor, you are expected to know the number of inventories loaded onto the different trucks, product types, which DC they will be delivered to, and at what time.
13. Report any other generic issues around the warehouse or yard to the Operations Manager.
14. In the absence of the other warehouse supervisor, you will be expected to carry out their duties.
15. Ad hoc duties.

Experience and Educational Qualifications:
· Grade 12 or Equivalent (NQF 4)
· 1-2 years of Warehouse Supervisor experience
· Customer service experience
. Code 10 driver's licence with PDP
