Job Purpose
To support the effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) and related quality processes within the laboratory. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, facilitates quality reporting, and supports training and audit activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in preparing, updating, and distributing quality reports and metrics.
- Coordinate with departments to track and follow up on Quality KPIs.
- Manage documentation and records control in line with QMS requirements.
- Organize and monitor training sessions; maintain accurate training records.
- Support the preparation of management and compliance reports.
- Participate in internal and external audits and quality assessments.
- Provide administrative support for quality-related projects and initiatives.
- Perform general administrative and ad-hoc duties as required.
- Uphold SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards in all activities.
Qualifications
- National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Food Technology, Veterinary Technology or Analytical Chemistry.
- Familiarity with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 17025) and regulatory compliance.
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in a laboratory or quality assurance environment.
- Experience with electronic QMS platforms (advantageous).
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and document control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of SHEQ principles and laboratory operations.
