Purpose of the Role:
Develop and implement channel strategies to enhance brand visibility, drive sales, and improve customer experience within the branded channel. Co-create and manage campaigns monthly, coordinating promotional activities, analysing market trends, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure consistent brand messaging and effective customer engagement.
Develop and execute retail marketing strategies
- Co-create retail campaigns, promotional activities, and in-store events to drive acquisition and retention on a monthly basis across all lines of business (Postpaid, Prepaid, Fibre and Business)
- Coordination of retail marketing activities, this includes briefing partners and agencies, managing logistics for small events, and ensuring smooth execution of marketing campaigns
- Monthly briefing of media and creative agencies aligned to business objectives
- Ensure all communication is compliant within the brand guidelines
- Branding of marketing materials (Point-of-Sale (POS) materials, signage, and other promotional items)
- Co-ordinate the execution of all media elements within the required timelines
- Oversee the development, localisation and timely deployment of marketing assets within budget
- Leverage research, insights and trends to build effective Go To Market plans
- Compile comprehensive proof of flighting reports monthly
- Compile post-implementation reports for all campaigns inclusive of media, customer engagement and sales performance
- Generate insights for continuous improvement

Budget tracking and reporting
- Remaining up to date on trends, understanding customer behavior, and identifying opportunities to improve marketing efforts
- Complete competitor review reports
- Conduct regular trade visits and feedback reporting
- Cross functional delivery involving sales, finance, channel and OEM manufacturers to ensure alignment and effective implementation of marketing initiatives.
- Operate according to the organisational values
- Facilitate opportunities to engage and collaborate with stakeholders to develop customer first solutions
Skills and Qualifications
- Matric
- Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Psychology, Social Science)
- Knowledge of marketing strategies, promotional tactics, and customer engagement techniques.
- Ability to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders, including customers, partners, and team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate activities, and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability to change market conditions and customer preferences.
- Creativity and innovation to develop unique and engaging marketing campaigns.
- Proficiency in MS Office
Experience
- 2 – 3 years in relevant industry
- Proven record of channel execution and performance
