Qualifications:
- National
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil
Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced
degrees or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are advantageous.
- At
least 8 years of experience within the mining industry, specifically in
mineral processing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead
and manage all construction activities, including planning, scheduling,
and execution.
- Coordinate
with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure
alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Oversee
daily operations on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and
plans.
- Manage
and supervise construction personnel, subcontractors, and vendors,
ensuring work is performed in accordance with safety standards and
contractual obligations.
- Allocate
resources efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Resolve
on-site issues or conflicts and ensure effective communication among all
parties.
- Implement
and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working
environment.
- Conduct
regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits to identify and address
potential hazards or non-compliance issues.
- Ensure
compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
and industry standards.
- Monitor
construction quality to ensure all work meets required standards and
specifications.
- Conduct
inspections and tests to verify materials and workmanship comply with
project requirements.
- Address
and rectify any quality issues or deficiencies promptly and effectively.
- Oversee
construction budgets and control costs, including managing expenditures
and tracking financial performance.
- Develop
and maintain detailed construction schedules, ensuring project milestones
and deadlines are met.
- Monitor
progress against the project plan and adjust schedules and resources as
necessary.
- Serve
as the primary point of contact for construction-related inquiries and
issues.
- Provide
regular updates and reports to project managers, stakeholders, and clients
on construction progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Facilitate
effective communication between all project team members and external
parties.
- Maintain
accurate and up-to-date construction documentation, including daily logs,
progress reports, and change orders.
- Prepare
and submit detailed reports on construction activities, performance, and
compliance.
- Ensure
proper documentation of all construction work and modifications for future
reference.
- Oversee
the final stages of construction, including commissioning and handover of
the project to the client.
- Ensure
all project deliverables are completed to satisfaction and any remaining
issues are resolved.
- Conduct
post-project reviews to assess performance, gather lessons learned, and
implement improvements for future projects.
- Stay
updated with the latest industry best practices, technologies, and
regulations.
- Perform
any ad hoc tasks as requested by management.
