Role purpose
Drive last-mile distribution of Prime Circle’s virtual wallet + card by:
- Sourcing customers in your community,
- Completing onboarding & KYC using Prime Circle’s mobile app/WhatsApp flow, and
- Selling and activating physical cards for verified customers.
Key responsibilities
- Customer acquisition: Prospect at markets, taxi ranks, churches, workplaces, and within immigrant communities; run small demos and referrals.
- Onboarding & KYC: Capture documents (passport/asylum/refugee/SA ID), perform selfie liveness, collect required info (address description, purpose, source of funds) using the Prime Circle KYC app—no personal WhatsApp for documents.
- Card issuance & activation: Purchase card stock from Prime Circle, sell to customers, link/activate card only after KYC approval and PIN set.
- Education & support: Teach customers how to cash-in/out, use the app, set PINs, and keep their card safe; handle simple queries; escalate issues.
- Stock custody: Keep cards in tamper-evident bags; reconcile bag IDs daily; report loss/theft immediately.
- Reporting: Track daily activations, first cash-ins, and referrals in the Agent app; attend weekly check-ins/training refreshers.
- Compliance: Follow the FIC Act risk-based CDD process; never tip-off on investigations; protect personal data (POPIA).
Minimum requirements
- Smartphone (Android 10+ or iOS 14+), reliable data, and WhatsApp.
- Strong people skills; comfortable selling and explaining simple tech.
- Language ability: Conversational English plus at least one community language (e.g., Shona, Somali, Amharic, Swahili, Portuguese, French).
- Right to contract in South Africa (or operating legally via a registered small business).
- Willing to travel locally and work peak community hours (evenings/weekends).
- Basic numeracy for cash handling and stock reconciliation.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in: field sales, mobile money/agent banking, remittances, airtime/data sales, spaza operations, NGO outreach.
- Existing networks in migrant or informal-trader communities.
Tools & training provided
- Prime Circle Agent App (KYC capture, stock ordering, activations, reporting).
- In-app training (≈60 minutes) + quiz → Agent KYC Certificate (valid 12 months); monthly 10-minute refreshers.
- Marketing assets (posters, QR codes, one-page flyers), scripts, and helpdesk access.
- Provincial pickup hubs for card stock (courier optional).
Compensation & pricing (transparent)
- Your buy price (from Prime Circle): R55 per card.
- Your retail price (to customer): R70 per card.
- Base margin: R15 per card.
Performance incentives (paid monthly into your Agent Wallet):
- Activation rebate: +R3 per card when the customer completes KYC and makes a first cash-in ≥ R200 within 7 days.
- Volume rebate:
- 100–499 activations/month: +R2 per card
- 500–999: +R4 per card
- 1,000+: +R5 per card
- Quality bonus: +R2 per card if your monthly manual-review rate is <2%.
Example earnings (illustrative): 200 activations/month → Base R3,000 (200×R15) + Activation R600 (200×R3, assume targets met) + Volume R400 (200×R2) + Quality R400 (200×R2) = R4,400 before any other promos.
Payments to Prime Circle (for stock):
- Prepaid via your Agent Wallet (EFT/instant EFT/card; retailer cash voucher optional).
- Credit terms may be offered to top-tier agents after performance & clean audits.
KPIs & expectations
- Daily/weekly activations (target set per province).
- D+7 and D+30 active rate (customers still using the wallet).
- KYC quality: low rejections; <2% manual review rate.
- Stock accuracy: 100% bag-to-agent reconciliation; zero grey resale.
- Customer satisfaction: prompt PIN support and first cash-in guidance.
Compliance & conduct
- Cards remain inert until linked to a verified wallet—no exceptions.
- Use only the Prime Circle KYC app; never store photos locally or share via personal messaging.
- Display the R70 retail price; over-charging, misrepresentation, or document misuse is a disciplinary strike.
- Report suspicious activity immediately via the app; do not tip-off customers.
- Agree to audits, mystery shopper checks, and brand guidelines.
Working pattern
- Flexible hours; plan around high-foot-traffic times.
- Collect stock from your provincial hub (Johannesburg/Pretoria; Cape Town/Bellville; Durban/Warwick; Gqeberha & East London; Bloemfontein; Polokwane; Mbombela & eMalahleni; Rustenburg/Mahikeng; Kimberley) or select courier.
How to apply

- Pass the training quiz and sign the Agent Agreement in-app.
- Fund your Agent Wallet and purchase your Starter Pack (e.g., 50 cards).
- Collect stock at your hub or choose courier; start activating customers.
