Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and dedicated HR Officer to join our team. The HR Officer will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring effective human resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Disciplinary Process: Manage and execute disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policies and labor laws to maintain a fair and compliant workplace.
- HWSETA Submissions: Ensure timely and accurate submissions of HWSETA registrations and reports.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs, coordinate training sessions, and promote ongoing staff development.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Labour Relations Act (LRA), and other relevant legislation.
- Payroll Supervision: Oversee payroll processes in coordination with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely salary payments.
- Staff Motivation and Upliftment: Develop initiatives to motivate staff, foster team spirit, and create a positive and productive work environment.
- Processing New Employees: Handle the onboarding process for new hires, including documentation, orientation, and induction.
- Recruitment: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including advertising vacancies, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and selecting suitable applicants.
- Employee Induction: Conduct comprehensive induction programs to familiarize new employees with company policies, culture, and expectations.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of employment legislation
- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to motivate and uplift staff
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite
- Proven experience in HR management or related field
- Knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations (BCEA, LRA, etc.)
- Experience with payroll supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Relevant HR certification or diploma is preferred
