Are you a detail-oriented HR systems professional with hands-on Workday experience? We are looking for an HRIS Analyst to join our global People & Culture (P&C) systems team. Based in South Africa, as the HRIS Analyst, you will support the maintenance, configuration, and enhancement of our Workday platform, playing a key role in both project implementations and business-as-usual (BAU) operations.
What you will be doing:
Data Migration & ETL
- Assist with data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and validation.
- Use Excel or SQL to support data reconciliation and source-to-target validation.
- Support cutover activities, ensuring clean and accurate data loads via EIB.
Workday Implementation Support
- Collaborate with global P&C teams to gather requirements and complete configuration workbooks.
- Document inputs, track project deliverables, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
Workday Configuration & Business Process
- Assist with process mapping and configuration activities.
- Provide accurate inputs for system setup and improvements.
BAU Systems Support
- Act as a first-level contact for Workday queries: data issues, workflow questions, and navigation.
- Escalate complex issues to senior HRIS or integration specialists.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with global teams and the integrations team to ensure smooth interface validation and post-go-live support.
What we are looking for:
- Proven hands-on experience with Workday (especially Core HCM).
- Strong understanding of Workday configuration, EIB, and security roles.
- Experience in data migration and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel (VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.).
- Knowledge of HR processes and data confidentiality best practices.
Nice to have:
- Experience working in global or matrix organisations.
- SQL knowledge for ETL support.
