We are looking for a suitable person to form an essential part of our kitchen team. The supervisor will be responsible to oversee the overall operation and performance of the kitchen team, ensure quality and safety of food preparation, serving and distribution. The above role is an Employment Equity position and open to such applicants.
Qualification and Experience Requirements:
Minimum Grade 12 (Matric)
Must have a Culinary Certificate
At least 2 to 3 years’ experience in supervision, culinary and administrative skills in a kitchen environment
Proficiency in English (read, write and speak)
Punctual in executing tasks in a fast-paced kitchen and deadline driven
Must be dependable, accountable, and responsible
Good and effective verbal communication skills
Must be willing to work on a pre-determined shift duty roster
Key Performance areas:
-Supervise and train staff to meet kitchen goals and deadlines
- Planning and ensuring effective coordination of workflow
- Ensuring food quality, maintain standards, and HSE compliance
- Managing inventory and supplies
- Maintaining equipment and facilities
- Monitoring budget and costs
- Handling customer complaints
- Perform supervisory administrative duties, including handling discipline, performance management, adequate staff levels, training and development
- Assist with all other reasonable duties
