We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Site Foreman to join our client's team in the construction field. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and has excellent management skills. You will support the project manager with the daily management of various construction sites and take responsibility for the efficient functioning of the team and the site.
Core Responsibilities:
Site Management: Keep a detailed site diary, including information about all casual labourers, day-wage workers, and a summary of daily work.
Planning and Supervision: Work with the project manager to ensure that all planned tasks are completed daily and weekly.
Tool Management: Keep a log of all tools, ensure they are used correctly, kept clean, and safely locked up. You will conduct a weekly inventory and notify the project manager of any missing or broken tools.
Material Control: Perform daily checks of basic materials like cement, bricks, and sand. You will also be responsible for receiving deliveries and checking the contents against invoices.
Hired Equipment: Manage all hired equipment, monitor its condition, and arrange for it to be off-hired and collected.
Order and Cleanliness: Ensure that all subcontractors maintain daily order on the site.
Purchasing: Buy small, necessary items using a petty cash float.
Administration: Assist with the ordering process and invoicing using existing templates.
Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12)
Valid driver's license and own transport are a MUST, as you will be working on multiple sites.
Computer literate
Team Player: The most important quality is that you must be a true team player.
Integrity: We are looking for an honest and reliable person.
Skills: You must have technical, management, and practical skills, and be able to read a construction plan.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in the construction industry will be considered an advantage.
Job Details:
Start Date: 1 October 2025
Contract Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of an extension.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00 and Saturdays from 08:00 to 15:00.
Compensation: R15 000+ per month, paid monthly.
