Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a sharp eye for detail and a knack for keeping operations running smoothly?
Our client, a dynamic, fast-growing agency with a thriving manufacturing division, is on the lookout for a proactive and highly organised Procurement Coordinator to join their team in Stikland.
In this key role, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end materials flow, ensuring components are sourced, received, stored, and delivered on time to support uninterrupted production.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years’ experience in procurement, stock, or logistics coordination – ideally within a manufacturing or production setting
- Proven ability to manage multiple suppliers and coordinate JOT delivery across multiple job streams
- Strong administrative discipline – tracking, documenting, updating records, and communicating clearly
- Excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills and confident with basic digital tracking tools
- Organised, punctual, and detail-obsessed
- A strong communicator who can hold others accountable and speak up when things are off-track
- Comfortable lifting, unpacking, and tagging stock – this is not a desk-only role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Personally receive and verify all incoming materials – from raw substrates to hardware and consumables
- Check delivery contents against purchase orders, log discrepancies, and escalate where necessary
- Label, photograph, and allocate goods immediately to the correct job number or storage zone
- Keep receiving areas clear, organised, and efficient
- Place all approved orders – sourcing multiple quotes where needed and managing price vs lead time trade-offs
- Maintain and nurture a diverse network of suppliers across raw materials, finished goods, and everything in-between
- Build strong working relationships with vendors, hold them accountable, and ensure they understand and meet our quality and timing expectations
- Communicate clearly and consistently to avoid delays and misaligned deliveries
- Maintain clean procurement records and update the shared procurement tracker daily
- Maintain structured, real-time inventory of all frequently used materials and consumables-avoid stockouts, overstocking, and wastage
- Conduct weekly cycle counts and monthly audits, identifying and investigating any variances or losses
- Keep factory zones stocked per job priority, ensuring production has what it needs – no excuses
- Own the return-to-stock process for unused materials and manage storage of partial stock responsibly.
