Are you keen to learn more about the Planning and Procurement Administrator position we have available?
You will be joining Sakata’s local Planning Team that focuses on planning of operational needs and sourcing and purchasing of raw materials. You will follow the requirements defined by the Planning Team in conjunction with the greater Sakata group.
What will you do?
In your cross-departmental role (with research, supply chain, sales…), you define and support the development of leafy varieties adapted to today’s and tomorrow’s growers’ needs. You play a pivotal role in the organization, steering breeding effort and advising the product development and sales force. You build the product portfolio that brings solutions to the growers.
- Plan, monitor and purchase raw material for production requirements.
- Stock control and management of use, in conjunction with Product Development.
- Assist with Supply planning and procurement.
- Reporting on stock holding and advising on procurement requirements.
- General Administration and record keeping.

Where will you work?
You will be based in Gauteng, Lanseria. Your manager Sarah Schulze is based at Sakata’s head office in Gauteng.
You will work closely with the Supply Chain and QA Departments.
Do you fit this profile ?
You have:
- a tertiary qualification
- a good knowledge of Excel (intermediate)
- a good level of English, both written and spoken
- a valid driver’s license
You are:
- able to work under pressure
- computer literate
- able to work within deadlines, with good personal time management
- a team player who finds it easy to communicate and collaborate within the team and with other departments
