We’re currently seeking a Plant Manager to oversee the production, maintenance, and quality assurance functions. This professional multitasker will coordinate the plant’s manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with company objectives, quality systems, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally detail oriented and able to lead a team, serving as liaison between plant workers and upper management. This person must be dedicated to achieving operational excellence and have a genuine interest in helping the company succeed.
Reporting to: Chief Operational Officer
Objectives of this role
· Ideate and implement strategic improvements for production, quality, and labour utilization throughout the facility
· Provide leadership to ensure effective utilization of plant personnel and equipment
· Collaborate with functional departments in the implementation of improvements
· Investigate and implement innovative manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve product quality
· Apply lean manufacturing principles in designing, specifying, and validating world-class manufacturing processes that achieve organizational goals
Required skills

· Blow moulding, Injection moulding experience/knowledge

Preferred skills and qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business, engineering, or related field
· Min 10 years manufacturing/production experience
Responsibilities
· Coordinate manufacturing operations for production
· Drive continuous improvement programs
· Ensure that production line schedules are in accordance with production plan
· Manage materials replenishment, quality standards, and performance metrics in support of organizational goals and objectives
· Manage cost structures for manufacturing by keeping operational expenses within budget allowance, and investigate cost-reduction measures
· Create documentation protocols and ensure that all records of operations are properly maintained and reviewed
· Planning, organizing, directing, and running optimum day-to-day operations
· Managing production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards
· Ensuring production output, product quality, and on-time shipping
· Allocating resources effectively and creating and managing budgets
· Collecting and analyzing data to find areas of waste and overtime
· Developing systems and processes that track and optimize productivity
· Staying apprised of whether standards, metrics, and performance targets are being met in order to ensure effective return on assets
· Keeping up to date with latest production management best practices
· Maintaining lean manufacturing processes
· Implementing strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives
· Monitoring operations, initiating and driving corrective actions when needed
· Overseeing work schedules to ensure coverage
· Providing a clear sense of direction and focus to team members
· Building a trusting relationship with workers and addressing employees’ issues or grievances as well as recruiting, managing, and developing plant staff
· Ensure OEE targets are met, and waste/scrap are kept within limits
· Ensure proper asset maintenance and utilizing assets to produce optimal results
· Manage, review and update process flow
· Committing to plant safety procedures and legal compliance and in house policy adherence
