Job Title: Production Scheduling Supervisor

Job Type: Full-time
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monthly Planning
· Receive and review sales rolling forecasts
· Balance production capacity across all shops to meet demand
Weekly Planning
· Set model launch sequence, ensuring no more than three colour changes per day
· Release Assembly JIS (Just-In-Sequence) production sequences
Daily Planning
· Dynamically adjust shop sequences to accommodate changes and priorities
· Trigger sequenced material pull to support production flow
Work-in-Progress (W-P) Synchronization
· Monitor BIW buffer zones
Paint-to-Assembly (P-A) Synchronization
· Control painted body sequencing to align with downstream assembly requirements
Exception Management
Equipment Downtime
· Activate backup sequence within 2hrs
Material Shortages
· Execute model jump sequences to maintain production continuity
Quality Holds
· Coordinate cross-shop rework routes to resolve quality issues
System & Data Management
· Maintain APS (SAP PP/DS) system parameters including Welding fixture change matrix
· Painting oven curves and Assembly station labor times
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
· Develop and mentor the planning team to enhance skills and efficiency
· Drive optimization of scheduling logic and production processes
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Grade 12 with a National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Production or Operations Management or a related field
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry (preferred)
