As QHSE Coordinator, your role will be to support the implementation and continual improvement of the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management systems. You'll collaborate with site teams and leadership to ensure compliance with legislation, drive incident prevention, promote safety culture, and prepare for audits.Key Responsibilities
- Assist with risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits.
- Monitor and promote compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001.
- Maintain accurate incident/accident records and support investigations.
- Track corrective/preventive actions and follow up on non-conformances.
- Support environmental control measures: waste, emissions, stormwater, etc.
- Coordinate documentation for audits and QMS updates.
- Facilitate safety training, toolbox talks, and Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) initiatives.
- Support handling of customer complaints and quality non-conformities.
Requirements
- NQF Level 5 Safety Qualification or SAMTRAC (preferred).
- 2–3 years' experience in QHSE within logistics operations.
- Knowledge of ISO standards 9001, 14001, and 45001.
- Experience in food safety warehouse environments is beneficial.
- Familiarity with incident investigation tools (5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA).
- Strong administrative skills and a hands-on approach.
