An exciting opportunity exists at Corporate Office for an experienced and skilled professional to fulfil the Risk Management Officer role within the Risk Management Division.
Key Performance Outputs
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Group Manager Risk Management and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Provide input into and assist in implementing the risk management framework and methodology to ensure achievement of business objectives cost effectively and
- Assist in ensuring the integration of Risk Management into relevant business processes that the practitioner has accountability for.
- Facilitate for the implementation of Risk Management methodologies.
- Provide input into the determination and quantification of the organisation's risk values, risk appetite and risk tolerance limits in line with the approved company Risk Framework.
- Create awareness and promote Risk Management within ACSA.
- Assist in the development of Risk Management systems.
- Maintain input or data quality of Risk Management systems.
- Research best practices in corporate governance to adopt and align it with the organisation's practices.
- Report on the functional area's risk registers.
- Provide input into the overall risk management culture of the organisation.
- Build, support and maintain healthy diverse internal (peers, unions, team) as well as external (service providers etc.) relationships and implement remedial actions where required to ensure minimum risk to the company.
- Provide relevant and specialised technical support / advice to relevant stakeholders with regards to risks imposed to ACSA
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:
- Diploma or equivalent in Risk Management, Auditing, Legal, Finance, Governance, Compliance Management, is essential.
- 2 years operational experience in Risk Management is essential.
- A valid Legal Appointment with Institute of Risk Management South Africa is recommended.
