Job Purpose :
Represents, Details, Sells and Delivers either ethical and proprietary products to Doctors, Pharmacies, Specialists, Optometrists and Institutions (State Hospitals, etc).
Key Job Outputs :
- Detail Ophthalmologists, Paediatrician’s, ENT, GP, Optometrists and pharmacies of clinical benefits of products
- Territory and time management
- Ensure adherence to product marketing strategy through management of stock levels, merchandising, promotional activity at pharmacies, and dispensaries.
- Ensure adherence to current marketing code of conduct and legislation
- Arrange and facilitate continuing medical education (CME) programmes for pharmacies, doctors and specialists
- Understanding company policy and procedures and ensure adherence thereto
- Complete expense claim sheets
- Complete vehicle log books
- Correct utilisation of customer relationship marketing
- Maintaining customer relations in a cost-effective manor
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the designated territory

- 2 years’ experience as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative.
- Matric + Degree in Science related fields
- Specialist detailing experience with solid relationships with target audienc preferred,
- Full understanding of performance drivers including metrics around market share and EI
- Computer literacy, Spreadsheets, Ms Word, Excel, PowerPoint and category.
