Purpose of the Job An exciting opportunity exist at our brand new Medirite Plus Willowbirdge store for a beauty consultant. We are looking for an individual with a strong interest in retail and the beauty field in particular. If you are passionate about health and beauty and enjoy working in a customer service environment then look no further. Your main duties will consist of advising customers on products and prices, promoting and selling beauty products by means of rendering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate must have a passion for health and beauty products and have an engaging & friendly personality.
Job Objectives • Ensure and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent customer service by means of sales, merchandising and stock control of products • Stay up to date on all promotions and special offers • Advise customers on products and prices • “Up-sell” promotional products and services according to company policy and procedures • Maintain excellent product knowledge • Ensure that shelves are always well stocked. Packing is done according to customers’ specific requirements, company standards and procedures • Maintain visual merchandising standards • Ensure that shelves are tidy and clean at all times • Handle all customer queries • If required, assist with any ad hoc duty, excluding dispensary Qualifications
  • Grade 12
Experience • At least 5 months point of retail experience as a sales/beauty consultant or similar role • Skincare, cosmetic and fragrance retail experience will be an advantage Knowledge and Skills • Computer literate • Solid communication and interpersonal skills • Sound numeracy skills • Bilingual, preferably fluent in English and Afrikaans • Strong administration skills • Engaging & friendly personality • Knowledgeable on payment procedures (e.g. cash, cheque, bank card, credit cards, coupons, vouchers) • Skincare, cosmetic and fragrance product knowledge would be an advantage • Knowledgeable on stock receiving procedures • Solid understanding of customer service principles Applicant Feedback Policy Shoprite endeavours to provide feedback to all candidates whenever possible.
