PG Bison NECF in Ugie Eastern Cape is looking for a qualified and experienced Assistant Accountant who is able to show an above average level of attention to detail and be able to carry out duties diligently with a high level of accuracy. An ability to work under pressure to meet strict accounting deadlines a necessity. Also be willing to learn and advance within the timber/forestry industry.
Minimum Requirements
- B.Com or B-Tech accounting degree, and prepared to study further.
- At least one year of relevant working experience in the finance and accounting field preferably in Forestry/Manufacturing industry.
- Candidates who have completed or partly completed articles / traineeship will be given preference.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assistance to the Accountant / Financial Manager in carrying out financial and management accounting duties within a forestry environment.
These duties to include -
- GL reconciliations,
- Processing transactions on Infor MRP system,
- Reconciling and collating production / harvesting data.
- Checking and reconciling infield and stores stock counts and
- Ensuring strict compliance to internal policies and procedures.
