Core Purpose of the Role:
Delivery Unit is looking for a talented professional to complement their team, in the form of a Bid Coordinator who will primarily be responsible for tender compilation and submissions and administration.
Key Performance Areas:
- Coordinate the end-to-end proposal process, including planning, scheduling, and submission
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and business development teams to gather and organize content
- Ensure proposals are compliant with client requirements and internal standards
- Write, edit, and proofread proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy
- Maintain and update a library of standard proposal content, CVs, case studies, and templates
- Track and monitor tender opportunities and manage submission portals
- Support the development of graphics, charts, and layouts for proposals
- Facilitate proposal review meetings and manage feedback integration
- Ensure timely submission of all proposal documents
- Support bid office lead initiatives
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Min. National Diploma
Experience:
- Min 5 years previous experience in bid preparations and coordination
- Previous experience in collaborating with multiple teams
Person Requirements
Core Competencies:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities, with a strong grasp of technical content
- Ability to interpret RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and proposal-related documents accurately
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Additional Competencies:
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) an added advantage
