Description
The purpose of this position is to effectively manage the cleaning requirements in and around the Administration building. This includes the waste area, some store rooms and some operational areas. It will be required of this position to ensure that all procedures regarding cleaning activities, chemicals used in cleaning and waste management is followed.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the cleaning of Administration building including
- the shop
- locker rooms
- canteen
- store rooms in the area.
- Toilets
- Press Toilets
- Kitchen
- Offices
- Responsible for maintaining the general waste area to ensure compliance to standards (Not waste generated from production)
- Responsible for issuing of tea, coffee, milk etc. to the canteen and kitchen.
- Responsible for cleaning equipment used and the issuing of soaps and cleaning stock to the areas. Refilling of toilet papers, soap and hand towels in the areas.
Health, Safety, Environment and Food Safety.
- Participate in HSE & FS forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talks
- Follow-up on any activities assigned through HSE & FS meetings / committees / representatives / management
- Report all HSE incidents to the relevant people
- Attend safety education and refresher programmes
- Comply with safety policies and procedures at Soill
- Distribute safety information as and when required
- Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times
Requirements
Qualification and Experience
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Previous related working experience advantageous
- Forklift license advantageous
