The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience within a similar role.
Responsibilities will be but not limited to:
Extensive experience in Transfers and able to attend to Transfers from receipt of instruction to registration of the transaction;
Applying for rates clearance certificates;
Submitting transfer duty;
Liaising with clients and agents;
Attending to finances on Transfer instructions;
Drafting of Transfer documentation.
Taking ownership of the transaction from beginning to the end which includes final accounts
Preparing and maintaining files accurately according to specifications
Drafting loan and bond documents for various financial institutions
Experience with SA Home Loans and Commercial Bonds will be advantageous
Drafting transfer and supporting documents for residential property transfers, commercial property transfers and township developments.
Attending to all financial aspects of transactions, including collection of costs/disbursements from clients and attending to general accounting queries
Effective stakeholder communication essential for both internal and external parties (Banks, Municipalities, Rates consultants, Estate Agents, Deeds office, Sars, etc.)
Strict compliance with the various financial institutions’ procedures and processes
Attending to arrange meetings with clients and signature of transfer and bond documents (excluding affidavits)
Preparing documents for lodgement and ensuring all conditions are met and processes followed in order for matters to be registered successfully at the relevant deeds’ registry
General office administration duties
Liaising with clients and attorneys
Liaising with the banks and deeds office
Typing of legal documentation
Dealing with client’s queries
Assisting with other team members where required
Education:
Matric Certificate
Secretarial diploma / paralegal qualification to your advantage
2-3 Years of experience as a Conveyancing Secretary
MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) & LegalSuite
Skills:
Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English) with good communication and interpersonal skills (public relations)
Telephone Etiquette
Office Administration skills
Solid written and verbal communication skills

Self-motivated and results driven
