Job Title: General Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks to ensure that equipment, facilities, and systems operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
· Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems.
· Respond to maintenance requests from staff and management.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Keep maintenance tools and supplies well organized.
· Work with contractors or vendors for specialized repairs when necessary.
· Conduct carpentry, painting, or masonry tasks as needed.
· Keep common areas clean, safe, and in working order.
· Assist in seasonal maintenance such as general landscaping.
· Driving from time to time when necessary.
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Willingness to learn.
· Ability to use Power tools (drills, grinders, saws etc.)
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Driving Licence
· Attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude.
· Need electrical, plumbing, tiling and building experience.
· Must be able to lift heavy items and work from ladders or scaffolding.
· Comfortable working in confined spaces or outdoors in various weather.
Education and Experience:
· Grade 12
· 5 year’s experience in general maintenance
Work Schedule:
· Full-time position
· Weekend, Public holiday (Overtime) work from time to time
