Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Guesthouse Manager to oversee daily operations at a boutique guesthouse on the Atlantic Seaboard. The role begins in the morning with breakfast service coordination (with support from housekeeping or a cook) and continues through the early afternoon to oversee housekeeping, guest satisfaction, and day-to-day property needs.
The Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth guest experiences, supervising on-site staff, and coordinating with our broader property management company (housekeeping, maintenance, guest communication). This is a dynamic role suited to someone who enjoys hospitality, organization, and people.
Key Responsibilities
Breakfast Service
- Organize and oversee breakfast for guests (with support from cook/housekeeper).
- Ensure guest satisfaction and smooth service.
Operations & Supervision
- Oversee daily housekeeping and ensure rooms/common areas meet guesthouse standards.
- Check property readiness before check-ins.
- Report and coordinate maintenance issues with the property management team.
Guest Experience
- Interact with guests during the morning/early afternoon.
- Address special requests or issues.
Administration
- Handle stock control (linen, amenities, breakfast supplies).
- Ensure paperwork and reports are up to date.
- Support guest communication team with on-the-ground information.
Requirements
- Proven hospitality / guesthouse / hotel management experience.
- Strong people and guest service skills.
- Ability to lead housekeeping and coordinate with maintenance.
- Hands-on attitude: willing to jump into breakfast service or help where needed.
- Organized, reliable, flexible in working hours.
- Valid ID / work permit, bank account, and paperwork in order.
Employment Details
- Hours: Mornings through early afternoon (flexible, including weekends).
- Type: Full-time, permanent.
- Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, plus performance-based incentives.

Pay: R15 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
