This role is very technical and suitable to someone who understands construction terminologies and have been exposed to property management and maintenance
in this role you will be working, with plumbing, electrical, carpentry , painting and other related departments
Work with handy man, construction tools and materials
Qualification
A qualification and experience in Building and or consturction related course
2 years practical experience in the field with be an advantage
Drivers licence is compulsory
Facilities Management
- Assumes responsibility for the effective facilities management of the student residences
- Coordinates and arranges daily meetings with the maintenance team
- Liaises with Residence Managers with regards tol all maintenance work activities within the buildings
- Conducts periodic inspections of facilities, assesses problems and needs, and implements improvements in operations as at seem fit
- Coordinates maintenance Ensures that facilities are clean, well maintained, and in good repair.
- Directs preventive maintenance procedures with the guidance of the maintenance manager and and maintenance team
- Ensures that the property operations are following established procedures, policies, regulations as set out by the company
- Accurate property maintenance records are kept and material usage
- Assist in monitoring third party contractors and services including:
- Access Control
- Cleaning
- Maintenance
- Security
- Council utility supply departments when supply interruptions occur
