As a critical part of our dynamic supply chain team, the Logistics and Supply Chain Administrator will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our supply chain activities both locally and internationally. This role is pivotal in supporting the end-to-end logistics processes, including the import and export of raw materials, distribution of finished products, and the seamless coordination of all related activities.
Main Responsibilities
- Order Processing & Tracking:
- Process and monitor purchase and sales orders: Ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming raw material orders and outgoing product shipments, coordinating with procurement and sales teams.
- Track shipments and delivery statuses: Maintain real-time visibility of all shipments and deliveries, ensuring all timelines are met and any delays are promptly addressed.
- Address and resolve delivery issues: Actively investigate and resolve discrepancies, delays, and other shipping issues, collaborating with logistics partners and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Logistics & Transportation:
- Coordinate freight and distribution activities: Schedule, track, and manage the transportation of goods from suppliers to our production facilities and from production to international clients, ensuring the most efficient routing and timely delivery.
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation: Complete and verify all shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), commercial invoices, customs declarations, and other regulatory paperwork, ensuring compliance with both local and international regulations.
- Ensure compliance with international laws and regulations: Stay current on import/export regulations, tariffs, and customs requirements to ensure compliance and avoid disruptions in the supply chain process.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and organised records: Update and manage all supply chain-related documentation, ensuring consistency and accuracy of records for both internal use and external audits.
- Support audit preparation and compliance: Collaborate with internal audit teams to ensure the supply chain’s operational and financial data meet quality assurance and regulatory standards.
- Generate and analyse reports: Produce regular reports on supply chain performance, including delivery timelines, costs, and operational efficiencies, to aid in decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
- Systems & Tools:
- Operate within the Sage ERP system: Efficiently use the ERP system for order tracking, inventory management, and reporting, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
- Utilise logistics and inventory management tools: Leverage tools like Excel, inventory management software, and logistics platforms to streamline processes and analyse data for trends, issues, and opportunities for cost savings.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- 1 to 2 years of experience in supply chain or logistics roles, preferably in agriculture, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Strong experience with Sage ERP or similar systems, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other logistics tools.
- Familiarity with global trade regulations, customs procedures, and shipping documentation.
Other specific requirements
- Full professional proficiency in Afrikaans and English (speaking and writing)
- High proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
