Seeking an experienced Vehicle Franchise Workshop Manager, who is able to efficiently manage a high-volume workshop including repairs, services, diagnostics, quotations, parts, bookings, and all other relevant duties within a Multi-Franchise Workshop.
Must have proven work experience and knowledge.
Duties:
Managing customer bookings for vehicle services and repairs.
Preparing and presenting quotations to customers.
Addressing and resolving customer comebacks in a professional manner.
Workshop Management:
Overseeing the daily operations of all Workshop Personnel including: Mechanics, Electricians, Parts clerks, and Cleaners.
Conducting test drives prior to assigning tasks to workshop employees and monitoring productivity levels.
Ensuring all vehicle faults are accurately identified and reported by Mechanics.
Oversee the servicing and repair of trucks, bakkies, and other vehicles daily.
Managing timely delivery of parts and ensuring they are fitted as required.
Liaise with suppliers, internal departments, and clients to ensure a smooth client experience from quotation and drop off to collection / delivery.
Supervising complex repair tasks and assisting with problem diagnosis.
Ensuring workshop staff adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.
Ensure effective stock and tool control within the workshop while also maintaining accurate job cards, service schedules, and workshop records
Summary:
Deal with all customer queries. Manage mechanics, fitters and cleaners. Allocate work to workshop employees and control productivity. Ensure mechanics find and report every fault on every vehicle. Ensure parts arrive on time. Ensure mechanics comply with mechanic check list and duties. Check that all parts are supplied to mechanics, and are fitted. Supervise complicated repairs. Diagnose problems. Ensure workshop staff comply with requirements of Occupational Safety Act
Reception and Administration:
Supervising administrative staff to ensure smooth reception operations.
Maintaining and updating control systems and documentation.
Enforcing discipline in the workplace, including timekeeping and attendance.
Adhering to Franchise set standards of operations, processes, and results.
