Key Responsibilities
Develop, configure, and maintain Novell GroupWise email and collaboration applications.
Support GroupWise email, calendaring, task management, and instant messaging services.
Design and develop custom GroupWise-based applications and integrations.
Perform troubleshooting and issue resolution related to email delivery, performance, and security.
Plan and execute migration strategies from GroupWise to other platforms (e.g., Microsoft Exchange, Office 365).
Work closely with IT teams to ensure seamless integration with other enterprise applications.
Manage and maintain Novell eDirectory (NDS) and GroupWise configurations.
Implement security measures, spam filtering, encryption, and backup strategies.
Provide technical documentation and user training for GroupWise-related tools and applications.
Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in application development.
Requirements
Required Skills & QualificationsProven experience in Novell GroupWise administration and application development.
Strong knowledge of Novell eDirectory (NDS) and LDAP-based authentication.
Experience with GroupWise WebAccess, SMTP, IMAP, and POP3 protocols.
Proficiency in Linux and Windows Server environments.
Hands-on experience with GroupWise integration with third-party applications.
Experience with migration projects from GroupWise to other email platforms (Office 365, Exchange, etc.).
Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Familiarity with database management (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Knowledge of networking, firewall configurations, and security best practices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Novell/Micro Focus GroupWise Certification is a plus.
Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of cloud-based email services and hybrid deployments.
