We are looking for Payroll/bookkeeper with HR experience, someone who knows payroll and daily bookkeeping tasks up to TB.
Key requirement
HR Certificate/Diploma and at least 3-4 years of experience.
Duties:
Processing of cashbook payments & receipts and reconciliation the bank, processing of cashbook for petty cash and reconciliation daily
- Processing of supplier reconciliation monthly, preparation of information for and execution of monthly invoicing cycle
- Issuing of PO, no payments are done on an invoice/pro forma without a PO nr
- Following up on outstanding supplier invoices and statements for processing
- Managing of VAT reports for submission VAT201 & EMP501
- Ensure all deadlines are met on time month end, petty cash recons weekly posting into cashbook via bank manager
- Closing VAT periods after VAT submissions monthly
- Investigate Trail Balance for any discrepancies rectify if there is any before month end and closing off the books.
- Ensure that all payments are accounted for and paid on time.
- investigation of incorrect payment allocation
- Accounting system, Sage 50, Bank reconciliations processing of journals weekly & monthly
- Full payroll function on Infonetix – 65 staff members monthly & weekly payroll
. Momentum & Old Mutual pension fund reporting monthly & weekly, Momentum health insurance processing and processing and procedures of employee contributions
Ensure all debit orders are accounted for and correctly allocated
Ensure GL accounts balance specifically the payroll GL’s journal entries to be done weekly
Create the journals for import payment from forex overs and under when payments were allocated
