Purpose of the Job
To accurately and timeously supply medication, according to valid prescriptions from doctors, residents and clients of the Chevrah Kadisha.
Role and Responsibilities
- Evaluate prescriptions
- Dispense/compound/supply medication to units/residents/clients
- Check/supervise prescriptions dispensed/compounded by pharmacist assistants
- Liaise with doctors and other medical personnel regarding medication requirements
- Co-ordinate state supplied medication with privately supplied medication
- Medical aid claiming and billing of medication
- Stock receiving
- Stock Control
- Administration/filing
- Record keeping and statistics
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- BPharm Degree
- Registration with South African Pharmacy Council
- Computer literacy – Propharm and Excel experience advantageous
- Community and/or Hospital Pharmacy experience
