Job Description
SPCC, a division of Pepkor Trading, is seeking a highly motivated Product Planner to join our team. You'll play a key role in developing and implementing business plans that drive success for our Brands' merchandise strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver merchandise assortment plans that support the signed-off departmental Business Strategy
- Proactively highlight poor performing styles at monthly meetings (within the markdown budget) to increase clearances.
- Constantly forecast cancellation targets and present at monthly meetings to meet signed off KPI targets.
- Present at monthly management/department meets the Financial figures
- Present a completed strategy document with set contributions for each category for the season including inflation, margin and number lines
- Conduct post seasonal analysis
- Formulate and compile relevant reports based on analysis to support the findings related to what stock is required
- Ensure correct seasonality, price points, units and number of styles are bought
Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance/Commerce/Accounting/Statistics/Cost and Management Accounting.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 3+ Years of product planning experience within a relevant retail environment
- Knowledge of stock control and distribution
- Knowledge of the retail merchandise cycle with regards to Buying
- Advanced knowledge of G-Suite, Excel and the MS office Packages
- Knowledge of seasonal and non-seasonal replenishments
- Excellent Planning and Organizing skills
- Strong time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
