Purpose of the job:
The Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business and driving revenue growth by selling WeBill’s smart utility SaaS platform and metering solutions. This individual will identify prospects, build strong client relationships, and guide them through the consultative sales process from lead generation to close.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Identify and engage prospective clients through cold calls, emails, networking, and referrals.
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations for key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline.
- Collaborate with internal teams (product, technical, operations) to deliver solutions to clients.
- Track and report on sales activities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the utility technology landscape and competitors.
- Attend industry events and expos to promote WeBill’s offerings.
Skills Required:
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to present technical solutions.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Networking and relationship-building ability.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Diploma or Degree in Sales or Business advantageous.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales, preferably in technology, energy, or utilities industries.
- Valid South African Drivers License.
