Job Description
To ensure the effective utilisation of Supply Chain systems (SAP MDM, SAP SD, SAP MM, and ARIBA) and their related interfaces in support of business objectives. This role safeguards the integrity of information exchanged between master data, contracts, production, and client systems through proactive, preventative, and corrective actions, as required by management and job responsibilities.
Key Result Areas
Systems Administration (Advisory and Monitoring Authority)
- Support the development and alignment of processes and systems, maintaining data integrity standards and procedures to enable efficient Supply Chain operations.
- Extract and compile weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports from various platforms to support strategic, tactical, and operational decision-making within the Supply Chain function.
- Monitor and reconcile Supply Chain interfaces to ensure seamless integration of information across systems, enabling comprehensive service delivery to the De Beers Group of Companies (GoC), including:
- Master Data: Maintain a centralised, standardised database across the De Beers GoC and Anglo American business units.
- Contracts: Enhance efficiency and visibility through automation of the purchasing process.
- Purchasing: Enable the Cape Town and Johannesburg SCCs to act as buying agents or principals, ensuring data relevance across SAP instances and continuous feedback to customers.
- Provide first- and second-line support via SAP and related call management systems, ensuring alignment of systems, people, and processes across the full Purchase-to-Pay cycle.
- Develop and run data review reports to continuously monitor and improve data integrity.
Project Management (Advisory Authority)
- Participate in project sessions as required, adhering to project principles, scope, timelines, budgets, and legal, health, and safety requirements.
- Support the successful implementation and rollout of Supply Chain projects within De Beers, including:
- Data Integrity and Cleansing
- Process Alignment
- Access and Controls
- Training and Change Management
- Risk Mitigation
Qualifications
- Matric with a relevant Supply Chain Degree/Diploma, or Matric with equivalent relevant experience.
- 3–5 years of SAP experience, with strong expertise in SD and MM modules (SAP PM knowledge is advantageous).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- 3–5 years of experience in a Supply Chain environment.
