Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12 Certificate)
- South African citizenship
- Valid driver’s licence
- Approximately 5 years’ experience in screen printing (including setup, exposures, ink‑mixing, press operation and quality control)
Desirable Skills & Responsibilities:
- Proficient in:
- Mesh stretching and screen making
- Exposing and developing screens
- Ink mixing and accurate colour matching
- Operating automatic and/or manual press equipment
- Performing basic machine maintenance
- Troubleshooting print alignment and ink flow
- Strong hand‑eye coordination, attention to detail, and ability to consistently produce high‑quality work
- Comfortable working with inks and chemicals daily, adhering to PPE and safety standards
- Reliable transport, punctuality, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Key Duties:
- Review work orders and determine job requirements
- Prepare positives/negatives and screens, calibrate machines, and perform test prints
- Monitor print runs for consistency, troubleshoot as required
- Conduct quality checks and finish packing printed materials
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the print room, performing reclaiming and screen wash‑up
- Minimize wastage and optimize materials usage
