The African Union Development Agency invites applicants who are citizens of African Union Member States for the post of Secretary.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks, including correspondence management, data management, and record-keeping.

- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet tight deadlines.

- Demonstrated experience providing comprehensive administrative support, such as organising meetings, coordinating logistics, and maintaining documentation.
- Proficiency in one of the AU working languages, fluency in another AU language an added advantage.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of a High School Certificate and a College Diploma in General Administration, Developmental Studies, Office Administration, Management, Social Sciences, or a related field. Minimum of 3 (three) to five (5) experience in providing programme and administrative support in coordinating events, including logistical arrangements and stakeholder engagement, including at least two (2) years in a similar role in national, regional, international, or multinational organisations.

Remuneration: Indicative basic salary of US$16,242.85 per annum plus other entitlements e.g., Post Adjustment (46% of basic salary), Housing allowance ($16,813.44 per annum), gratuity (15% of gross salary) in conformity with the rules and procedures applicable to internationally recruited staff of the African Union.
