We are seeking an experienced Sectional Title Portfolio Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in sectional title and homeowners’ association property management.
This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple properties efficiently. A personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Property Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of a portfolio of sectional title schemes and homeowners’ associations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure properties are well-maintained and comply with relevant regulations.
- Co-ordinate maintenance and repairs with contractors and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with the Sectional Titles Act, Community Schemes Ombud Service Act, and other relevant legislation.
Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage budgets for each property within the portfolio.
- Monitor and control expenditure to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Oversee the collection of levies and other charges, ensuring timely payments and addressing arrears.
Communication and Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for trustees, homeowners, and tenants.
- Organize and attend trustee and general meetings, preparing agendas, minutes, and reports.
- Address and resolve client inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all properties within the portfolio.
- Prepare and submit regular management reports to trustees and directors.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sectional title and homeowners’ association property management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Sectional Titles Act, Community Schemes Ombud Service Act, and other relevant legislation.
- Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple properties and tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
