Minimum Requirements
- N Diploma in Security and Risk Management (Essential/Minimum)
- Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority Grade A certification (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate in Investigation (Essential/Minimum)
- 3-5 years of experience in a policing environment (Essential/Minimum)
- Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
- Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
- Alcohol Level Test Equipment (blowers & SD400) (Essential/Minimum)
- Appointment as Deputy Explosives Magazine Master (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate in Incident Investigation (Essential/Minimum)
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Recommended/Desirable)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations of reported incidents and analyse findings to recommend corrective actions and preventative measures.
- Manage explosive storage magazine operations in compliance with legal and regulatory standards, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and local authorities to streamline investigative processes and maintain a collaborative network.
- Supervise and guide the investigation team, ensuring effective case management and timely completion of all investigative tasks.
- Perform risk audits and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks and enhance security measures.
- Facilitate and conduct detailed searches and arrests in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Act, ensuring legal compliance.
- Ensure all security measures and administrative tasks related to the management of sensitive materials are performed with precision.
- Promote a culture of safety and adherence to all Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) policies alongside industry standards.
- Oversee customer and stakeholder relationships by providing professional support and maintaining open lines of communication.
- Participate in training programs and skill-enhancement sessions, including practical exercises involving security equipment.
