Shumani Industrial Equipment is seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to lead its KwaZulu-Natal operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving service excellence, managing technical teams, and ensuring optimal customer satisfaction and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Leadership and Performance Management
Recruit, mentor, and develop service staff
Foster a high-performance culture through empowerment and accountability
Manage team communication, training, and performance reviews
Resolve disputes and implement corrective actions
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Project Execution
Oversee service tasks and monitor project progress
Resolve customer issues and ensure service excellence
Develop and implement service procedures and standards
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Liaise with customers and subcontractors to ensure satisfaction
Business Strategy and Budgeting
Develop and manage departmental business plans and budgets
Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions
Analyze monthly costs and variances
Contribute to strategic planning and business development
Minimum Requirements
Matric certificate
Diesel / Auto Electric / Forklift trade test certificate
3-year tertiary qualification (Business qualification advantageous)
Senior-level experience in material handling or industrial servicing
Strong decision-making and leadership skills
Ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution
