Position Overview:
Are you an organized and detail-oriented individual with experience in both finance and HR? Join our team to play a vital role in supporting our farm's financial and human resources functions. Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Collaborate closely with the Financial Manager to provide timely financial reports and updates. Ensure accurate and timely data capture of financial information, including receivables and payables, using Xero. Maintain the payment authorization sheet and promptly record payments.
- Reconciliation Expertise: Take charge of monthly statement reconciliations, intercompany confirmations, and loan confirmations. Ensure compliance with company policies by loading all invoices and quotations onto the payment authorization sheet.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Be vigilant in identifying financial issues and promptly report them to the Financial Manager. Seek input and advice when needed to ensure effective issue resolution.
- HR Support: Collaborate with the HR Manager to handle HR-related matters. Accurately capture and manage Payspace (payroll) information, wages, overtime, and related data. Address employee queries regarding wages and assist with accurate preparation of wages whilst ensuring data accuracy.
- Efficient Record Keeping: Ensure meticulous data capture on various platforms, including Payspace, People Flow, and Data Gear. Facilitate the onboarding of new recruits and maintain up-to-date employee records.
· Audit and Compliance:
Work with Skyvines in capturing and administrating documentation for audits related to Berrybase.
Ensure that Global Gap registrations and SIZA SAQ are completed annually for Berrybase.
Keep resource monitoring sheets updated and available.
Ensure training records are up to date, schedule necessary training, and assist with WSP ATR information submissions for Berrybase.
Capture and organize audit documentation across relevant platforms and ensure its filed on time.
- Office Administration: Provide assistance with general office administration tasks and support farm managers with relevant administrative needs. Communicate with suppliers to manage orders efficiently.
- Compliance Adherence: Uphold company policies and procedures to ensure compliance across financial and HR processes. Ensure all employees possess the necessary work permits and documentation.
- Cultivate Positive Culture: Play a pivotal role in fostering strong staff relationships and a culture of excellence within the office. Prioritize responsibility and align with the company's vision of stewardship.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Proficiency in financial management software such as Xero.
· Proficiency in HR systems, ideally Payspace and similar platforms
· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
· Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet strict deadlines.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under deadlines.
· Experience in agricultural or farm-related financial and HR administration is preferable.
