Employment Type: Full Time (Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm)

Job Description:
Perform routine kitchen duties such as setting up workstations, preparation of ingredients, following recipes as well as the preparation, cooking and plating of dishes while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as preparation of raw and cooked ingredients as well as the cooking and plating of dishes
- Use skills to ensure that the quality of food is up to standard and completed in an efficient, timely and professional manner
- Have strong attention to detail and accuracy when following recipes, measuring ingredients, preparing and replicating a wide variety of dishes
- Ensuring quality of ingredients by following proper checking, labeling, and rotation practices
- Perform other general kitchen duties as required
- Work well with and communicate with other team members as well as management to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and maintain customer satisfaction
- Communicate regularly with management and promptly bring to their attention any issues, concerns and resource needs
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, quality, consistency by upholding sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Qualification in Culinary Arts/Hotel management is preferred
- 2-5 years’ experience in Hospitality is desirable
- Reliable Transport
- Proven experience as a cook in a professional kitchen
- Experience in Catering is beneficial
- Working knowledge of recipes and various cuisines and food styles
- Understanding of common ingredients, food preparation and cooking techniques
- Proficient Knife Skills and working knowledge of other general kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- In-depth knowledge of food safety procedures, cleaning and sanitization standards
- Strong verbal communication skills
