The IT Procurement Administrator manages IT hardware, accessories, and asset procurement, overseeing the full lifecycle from requisition to invoice while ensuring compliance with financial governance. The role includes asset tracking, allocation, and cost optimisation. Acting as the central contact for IT procurement, the incumbent ensures high service levels and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification
- Certificate in Procurement Management
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an IT environment
- At least 4 years' experience as a Procurement Administrator or in a similar administrative role
- Working knowledge of SAP and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in a Group Environment would be an advantage
- Relevant tertiary education (advantageous)
Key Performance Areas
- Provide input to asset management and hardware procurement policies, ensuring alignment with IT strategies.
- Oversee the full procurement lifecycle from requisition to invoice, ensuring process adherence and cost-effective asset utilisation.
- Maintain reconciliation of IT assets across all systems, including SAP Finance.
- Assist in procurement-related aspects of IT projects, ensuring smooth transitions and documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
- Provide input on budgeting, cost estimation, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, compliance standards, and vendor governance.
Technical Competencies

- Experience with ITSM7 or similar IT Incident Management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
