A vacancy exists for a Key Account Manager - VAS within the Kazang - Micro Merchant Division, in Century City, Cape Town.
We are looking for a commercially driven and relationship-focused Key Account Manager (VAS) to oversee strategic partner accounts and drive the performance of our Value Added Services within the Fintech and Payments ecosystem. The ideal candidate is client-obsessed, understands the VAS landscape, and thrives in a high-growth, tech-enabled environment.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Serve as the main point of contact for key VAS partners, building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships.
- Drive the commercial performance of VAS across key accounts, including usage, revenue growth, and retention.
- Understand partner needs and translate them into actionable solutions, coordinating with Product, Operations, and Compliance teams.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with partners, including data analysis, reporting, and roadmap alignment.
- Monitor and manage SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations to ensure service excellence.
- Identify upselling, cross-selling, and co-marketing opportunities to increase partner value.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes that could affect partner strategy.
- Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs), support onboarding, and drive strategic VAS adoption.
In order to be considered for this position, the following requirements must be met:
- 2+ years experience in account management, partnerships, or client success, preferably in Fintech, Payments, or SaaS.
- Strong understanding of value-added products such as digital airtime, bill payments, card services, fraud solutions, or loyalty platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, both externally and internally.
- Commercial mindset with a proven ability to grow account value and build trusted relationships.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret data and extract business insights.
- Proficiency in CRM and reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Power BI, Excel).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident in leading partner meetings and presenting data.
