Matric certificate/ equivalent

Competent B Certificate is a pre-requisite and Competent A is advantageous

Medically fit

Valid First Aid Certificate

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Experience in an inclined and horizontal development end

At least 3 years’ experience in conventional and trackless development

Knowledge of hydropower (aqua jet) with verifiable references

Knowledge of how to operate and inspect a handheld machine

Good knowledge and Experience of Shafts and Development operations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently, collaborator and critical thinking skills

Good housekeeping

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the safe and effective handling of all tools and equipment

Responsible for good housekeeping in area of responsibility

De-sludge/ Clean out holes on completion of drilling

Pre-check list adherence and mid-shift risk assessment

Reporting breakdowns to the supervisor and engineering team

SHE Compliance and participating in the early entry examination

Barring of hanging wall, sidewall, and face.
