Your core purpose in this role:
To strategically position and protect Biovacs corporate brand as a trusted leader in vaccine innovation and manufacturing, ensuring consistent, impactful, and values-driven communication across all internal and external touchpoints. The role strengthens Biovacs reputation, builds stakeholder trust, and enhances employee engagement, while creating brand equity that supports long-term growth, partnerships, and Biovacs mission to advance healthcare across Africa. To ensure that the companys brand is well positioned and communicated consistently and effectively by all our internal and external stakeholders, so to maintain an optimal public image that creates good will within our industry.
You core accountabilities:
- Brand Strategy & Positioning: Define and deliver a brand strategy that articulates Biovacs value, differentiators, and healthcare impact, strengthening reputation and partnerships.
- Executive & Thought Leadership: Craft compelling messaging with senior leaders to position Biovac as an industry thought leader.
- Stakeholder & Reputation Management: Engage all key stakeholders proactively and build, protect & strengthen Biovacs reputation through consistent, values-driven communications and brand collateral.
- Industry Presence & Partnerships: Ensure Biovacs strong representation at key events and build partnerships that expand networks and influence.
- Events Management: Plan and project manage Biovacs internal and external stakeholder events impactfully and within the resources allocated.
- Campaigns & Digital Engagement: Design and execute integrated campaigns, content, and digital initiatives that influence sentiment and elevate visibility.
- Internal Brand & Culture: Equip employees as brand ambassadors and lead initiatives that foster pride, alignment, and engagement.
- Media & Public Relations: Manage media relations and monitor public sentiment to safeguard and enhance brand equity.
- Governance & Leadership: Set brand performance metrics, manage budgets with ROI accountability, and lead and develop the brand team, as well as cross-functional teams, to deliver with impact.

Qualifications needed to enable your knowledge and approach to work:
Required: Bachelors in Marketing, Communications, or Business.
Preferred: Postgraduate in Strategic Brand/Communications or MBA.
Added Value: Digital marketing, crisis/reputation management & healthcare/biotech communication certifications.
Experience needed to deliver the role seamlessly:
- 5+ years experience in brand management, marketing, corporate affairs, or communications, with 3+ years at management level in a corporate or multinational environment.
- Strong track record in brand strategy development, stakeholder engagement, and B2B marketing.
- Excellent communication skills: advanced business writing, copywriting & presentation/facilitation ability.
- Experience leading and project managing brand campaigns including media relations, and digital content development, including use of modern design tools and & budget development and management.
- Proven ability to build systems, processes, and campaigns that deliver measurable brand impact.
- Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry experience is highly advantageous.
Location of the role:
Hybrid working arrangement located virtually and in office in Pinelands, Cape Town, South Africa as required.
