We are looking for an experienced Customer Service Operator to join our vibrant team based in Cape Town
You will need an excellent telephone manner, come from an Account Management background and be able to proactively deal with situations and problem solve. We will also consider applicants from a Call Centre background.
In this role, you will be supporting our busy Customer Service function, this is an exciting opportunity to join our rapidly growing business.
Main responsibilities include:
- To build, manage and maintain relationships with customers as directed by the customer service Manager.
- Refer any complex issues or requests to your line manager, ensuring maximum opportunity is always extracted.
- Complete a wide variety of data entry tasks.
- Manage the customer service cycle from start to finish ensuring that key information required to prepare quotes and process consignments are compliant with HMRC customs.
- Be responsible for ensuring credit limits are managed to an appropriate level and payments and debt is recovered.
- Ensure that the commodity codes and invoices are correct and processed for dispatched.
- Be proactive in approaching and engaging with existing customers to generate income.
- Respond in a timely manner to problem or concerns from customers within the required turnaround.
Our ideal person:
- Confident and positive personality with a customer service background.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good attendance.
- Time management skills are essential as are communication (face-to-face and over the phone) skills.
- Experienced in general administration & data entry.
- The ability to prioritise and to work under pressure of workload and within a targeted environment.
- Commercial office experience essential.
- Proficient in English and Maths
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
