Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator/Draughtsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and estimates for projects, ensuring all designs meet client specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. This role combines technical drafting expertise with cost estimation skills to support the successful execution of construction and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed drawings and technical documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software.
Review project specifications, drawings, and related documents to accurately estimate material quantities, costs, and labor requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop comprehensive project estimates.
Ensure all drawings and estimates comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Assist in the preparation of tender documents and bid proposals.
Update and maintain drawing and estimation records for ongoing and completed projects.
Identify potential design issues and suggest cost-effective solutions.
Support project team during construction by providing technical guidance as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as an Estimator Draughtsman or similar role in construction, engineering, or related fields.
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills for accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimation.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and a strong sense of accuracy.
Relevant technical qualification or diploma in Drafting, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
