Job Summary:
The Food and Beverage Manager at La Plume Boutique Hotel & Spa is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience that reflects the hotel's boutique charm. This role involves managing dining services, bar operations, room service, and events to maintain the highest standards of quality, guest satisfaction, and profitability. The manager collaborates with the culinary team and ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations while driving innovation and excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage services, ensuring a smooth guest experience.
- Develop and implement tailored standard operating procedures (SOPs) for boutique-style service.
- Work closely with the culinary team to deliver exceptional and cohesive food and beverage experiences.
Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage the food and beverage department’s budget to meet financial goals.
- Monitor costs, revenue, and profitability, ensuring effective inventory management and vendor relations.
- Develop strategies to enhance revenue through innovative offerings and efficient cost controls.
Guest Experience:
- Maintain a warm and inviting dining atmosphere that aligns with La Plume’s unique brand identity.
- Address guest feedback and requests promptly, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
- Design and execute bespoke dining experiences, seasonal menus, and curated events to delight guests.
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and mentor food and beverage staff, fostering a culture of excellence and hospitality.
- Manage staff schedules and resource allocation to optimize service quality and efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training tailored to boutique service needs.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards across all food and beverage areas.
- Conduct routine inspections and training to uphold exceptional hygiene practices.
Marketing and Strategy:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote unique food and beverage offerings and events.
- Stay updated on industry trends and local dining preferences to innovate and differentiate La Plume’s offerings.
- Build strong relationships with local suppliers and producers to showcase the region’s best products.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a boutique or luxury hotel setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering personalized guest experiences.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation.
- Creativity in developing unique dining and beverage concepts.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and boutique hotel standards.
- A valid driver’s license is essential.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in food and beverage management.
- Certifications in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP) are advantageous.
Work Environment:
- A dynamic and intimate boutique hotel setting, requiring flexibility and a hands-on approach.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
